STUDIO LICO Game Service Privacy Policy(v1.2)
STUDIO LICO Corp. (hereafter referred to as "Company", "we", "our" or "us") respects your concerns about privacy. In this Privacy Policy, we describe the types of personal information we process, how we may use the information, with whom we may share it and the choices available to you regarding use of the information and exercising your rights. We also describe the measures we take to safeguard the information and tell you how to contact us about our privacy practices.
1. Collected Personal Information
The Company supports various types of social logins so that users can conveniently register as members and be provided service.
These social logins also allow for minimal collection of the personal information required for initial use of the service.
- The Company collects e-mail and identification values for initial member identification when a user signs up with social media accounts such as Facebook / Google / Apple / LINE account.
- When you sign up with Facebook account, the Company collects Facebook's name, profile picture, and friends' information depending on game services.
- We may collect additional information to provide responses when you contact our customer center.
- We also collect personal information only when it is necessary to comply with relevant laws. We may collect your email and device information (model, OS information etc.) when you communicate with our customer center.
- When you participate in an event or register for a giveaway event, we may collect shipping information, and additional information required for tax processing.
In addition, information such as IP address, cookies, advertisement ID, service usage records and device information (model, OS information, country code etc.), and purchase history may be automatically generated and collected during service use. 2. How We Collect Your Information
The Company collects personal information by following methods:
- If the user agrees to the collection of personal information and enters his/her personal information while signing up for membership during service use, such personal information will be collected.
- Personal information of the user may be collected through websites, email, fax, phone, etc. during the consultation through the customer center.
- Personal information may be collected in writing from offline events and the like.
- Personal information may be provided from outside companies or organizations partnered with Company to the extent permitted by applicable law.
- Generated information such as IP address, cookies, service usage records, device information and purchase history may be automatically generated and collected during the use of PC web or mobile web/app.
3. Use of the Collected Personal Information
The Company uses personal information only for the following purposes: managing members and developing, providing, and improving services.
- Personal information is used to identify user intent to subscribe to the Company's services, or confirm the user's intent to unsubscribe from the Company's services for the purpose of managing members.
- Personal information is used to restrict users who have violated the law, regulations, or the Company's User Agreement from using the service; to prevent or limit actions that would interfere with the smooth operation of the service, including delinquency, account fraud, or other illegal transactions; deliver notices on agreement updates; store records for potential dispute resolution; and to handle complaints for the purpose of user protection and service operations.
- Personal information is used to provide information on events, opportunities for participation, for advertisements, and for other marketing or promotional purposes.
- Personal information is used to analyze service use records and access frequencies, calculate statistics on service use, analyze services, provide customized services based on statistics, and place advertisements.
- Personal information is used to give users peace of mind in circumstances involving security, privacy, or safety and to build a usable service environment.
- In addition to the purpose of providing existing services (including advertisements) such as game service, personal information is used to discover new game service elements and improve existing game services such as demographic analysis, analysis of visits to services and usage records.
4. Legal Basis for Processing Your Personal Information
We mainly collect your personal information because it is necessary fulfill a contract with you and provide with the services such as authenticating you and responding to your inquiries. It might affect the stated purposes if you don't provide the personal information when we ask for.
We also process your personal information based on our legitimate interests such as direct marketing, internal research and analysis and to comply with legal obligation. We may also process your personal information with your consent when it is necessary.
5. Sharing Personal Information
We keep your personal information confidential. We, however, may disclose personal information about you through the services whenever necessary to provide services efficiently and in compliance with applicable law as described below.
- Service Providers. We may disclose your information to companies that provide services on behalf of us, such as companies that help us develop, store and operate systems for the service with customer contact centers on our behalf. These entities are limited by contractual provisions in their ability to use your information for purposes other than providing services for us.
- Other Parties When Required by Law or as Necessary to Protect Our Services. There may be instances when we disclose your information to other parties:
- to comply with the law or respond to compulsory legal process (such as a search warrant or other court order);
- to verify or enforce compliance with the policies governing our services; and
- to protect our rights, property, or safety, or, in compliance with data protection laws, any of our respective affiliates, business partners, or customers.
- Other Parties in Connection with Transactions. We may disclose your information to a third party as part of an actual or planned merger or transfer, acquisition or sale, or in the event of a bankruptcy.
- Other Parties with Your Consent or on Your Request. In addition to the disclosures described in this Privacy Policy, we may share information about you with third parties when you separately consent to or request such sharing.
- Links to Other Websites, Devices, Apps and Features. The service may provide the ability to connect to other websites, devices, apps and other features, which may operate independently from us and may have their own privacy notices or policies, which we strongly suggest you review. To the extent any linked website, device, app or other feature is not owned or controlled by us, we are not responsible for its content, use or privacy practices.
6. International Transfer of Information
Your use of our service will involve the transfer, storage, and processing of your personal information within and outside of your country of residence, consistent with this policy. In particular, your personal information will be transferred to the Republic of Korea. We will take appropriate measures, in compliance with applicable law, to ensure that your personal information remains protected.
7. Retention of Personal Information
We will retain your personal information as needed to provide you services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, or, in anonymized form, for statistical purposes, subject to appropriate safeguards. 8. Technical/Managerial Protective Measures for Personal Information
The Company employs the following technical /managerial measures to secure the safety of personal information and prevent the loss, theft, leakage, alteration, or damage of any such information in the course of processing users' personal information.
1) Technical Measures
- The Company protects users' personal information through information protection measures pursuant to relevant law and internal policies.
- The Company continues to take appropriate steps to prevent damage caused by computer viruses through its vaccine program. The vaccine program is periodically updated and if a new virus suddenly appears, its information is immediately applied to the vaccine in order to prevent personal information from being infringed upon.
- The Company encrypts users' personal information for storage and management as required by law and adopts security devices that enables secure transmission of personal information over the network via encrypted communication.
- In order to prevent illegal access to personal information, we have established the standards for granting, modifying, and canceling access rights to the personal information processing system, and runs an intrusion prevention system and intrusion detection system.
2) Managerial Measures
- The Company's employees who handle personal information are limited. Furthermore, the Company continues to emphasize the importance of privacy protection at all times through frequent training of those in charge.
- The Company identifies whether the laws related to the protection of personal information are complied with by those in charge of protecting personal information through an in-house department for personal information protections in order to ensure that any issue that may arise are corrected for and resolved immediately upon discovery.
9. Your Rights
Your personal information belongs to you. You can ask us to provide details about what we've collected, and you can ask us to correct any inaccuracies. If permitted by law, we may charge you a small fee for providing you with this ability. We may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, are extremely impractical, or for which access is not otherwise required by local law. 11. Children
We do not knowingly collect or sell personal information from children under the age of 14 (or any age otherwise defined under applicable law) without parental consent or unless permitted by applicable law. If you are a parent and you become aware that your child has provided information to us, please contact us using one of the methods specified below and we will work with you to resolve this issue.
12. Use of Cookies and Third-party Modules
1) Third-party modules
We may install modules of a third-party software development kit (SDK) provided by below third parties in our services to provide certain game services or functions, analyze the status of use of our services, and distribute and measure the effectiveness of targeted advertisements. With regard to your personal information that is processed by a third-party through a module provided by such third party, the privacy policy of such third party will apply.

If you do not want to see the targeted advertisements, you can opt out of using advertising ID on your device settings.

2) Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the website. We use cookies to enhance your experience when using our website. You can refuse to accept cookies by activating the setting on your browser which allows you to refuse the setting of cookies. However, if you refuse cookies, you may not be able to access certain services provided by the Company that require cookies.
13. Duty to Notify
Users will be notified of any modification to this Privacy Policy, including any newly added, deleted, or updated pieces of information through a “Notice” on the Company website at least seven (7) days prior to such modification. However, notices for important modifications that affect users' rights, including changes to personal information that is subject to collection or to the purposes of using such information, will be made at least thirty (30) days prior to the date of modification and the user's consent will be reobtained if necessary.
- This Privacy Policy is effective from January 12, 2023 (effective immediately for new users).
